As I embark on this journey of sharing the stories behind my lens, I’m excited to give you a glimpse into the world of visual storytelling that is both my passion and purpose. In this first post, I want to introduce myself and the philosophy that guides my work in photography and videography.
MY JOURNEY
My story is rooted in a deep desire to document the world around me in a way that goes beyond mere aesthetics. My journey began with a simple love for capturing moments but has since evolved into a mission to tell stories that matter—stories that inspire change, evoke emotions, and connect us on a human level.
I lived in France for 15 years, and in 2019, I decided to come back to Lebanon to help make a difference for my country, from my country. When the October 2019 revolution started in Lebanon, I began documenting it. The goal was to show my friends abroad the hopes we had to change our country for the better. My camera took me to places in Lebanon I had never been before and made me talk to people I had never spoken to before. It taught me how to see with a different eye and angle, brought me closer to people, and allowed me to rediscover and fall in love with my country.
THE POWER OF VISUAL STORYTELLING
In today’s fast-paced digital world, visuals have become the most powerful tool for communication. Whether it’s a photograph capturing a fleeting moment or a video that brings a story to life, visual storytelling transcends language and cultural barriers.
My approach is to create content that not only looks beautiful but also resonates with the audience, leaving a lasting impact.
FOCUS ON AUTHENTICITY
One of the core values that I bring to every project is authenticity. I believe that the most compelling stories are those that are genuine and true to the subjects being portrayed. Whether I’m documenting women in Lebanon’s agri-food sector, covering social issues, or capturing personal moments, my goal is to honor the real experiences of those I photograph and film.
WHY PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY MATTER
Photography and videography are not just about capturing images—they’re about creating a narrative. Through my work, I aim to highlight the voices of the voiceless, shed light on underrepresented communities, and showcase the beauty and resilience of everyday life. In a world where attention is often fleeting, my mission is to create visual content that stays with you long after you’ve seen it.
